Eastern Canadian Tour

In just one more sleep, I’ll be flying out to Halifax to kick off my first ever Eastern Canadian Tour in support of the physical release of my debut full length album It’s Not An Excuse, It’s A Reason and my documentary film Walking Proof, both of which have received glowing reviews.

The film is conveniently packaged in a deluxe CD/DVD version of the album and can be purchased on tour (I’ll be glad to sign it!) as well as here on my website if you don’t live near any of the cities I’m touring to this November and December. Keep in mind that Christmas is just four weeks away and this really makes a great gift… JUST SAYING!

As excited as I am to meet some new faces and see parts of this beautiful country I’ve never seen before, I’m going to miss my wife Chelsea and son Skyler so much. It’s a very bittersweet feeling that I’m experiencing right now. Just look at these two gorgeous humans; I’m sure going to miss them!

Over the last few days, Skyler has been standing on his own and is SO close to walking. I really hope he can wait until I fly back home in a couple of weeks because I definitely don’t want to miss his first steps! He’s kind of my favourite person ever.

Skyler's Struggle

Despite the fact that I’m going to miss my family a whole lot, I’m truly really stoked to go on tour. It’s taken me a ton of hard work to book this entirely on my own so please make sure to come out to a show if you can. As for my West Coast friends, I’ll be seeing you next year!

Los Angeles

I made my way to Los Angeles a couple of weeks ago with my wife Chelsea and son Skyler. We stayed in Santa Monica on Ocean Avenue which is right on the beach. The air was clean, the sky was blue and the water was incredibly refreshing.

Morning View

Skyler couldn’t get enough of the water. At first, he was a bit hesitant and a little unsure of the waves crashing onto the shoreline but, once I showed him that there was nothing to be afraid of, he really embraced the North Pacific washing over his tiny feet.

Mornings on the Beach

We spent our mornings on the beach, our afternoons exploring museums, and our evenings eating some of the most delicious vegan food I’ve ever had (aside from my wife’s cooking, of course!) After a wonderful week, we flew home from the famous LAX airport which was really nothing special when compared to the beautiful airport we have here in Toronto. However, the view from our hotel room was spectacular.

LAX

Skyler was an absolute angel during our flights to and from Los Angeles, both of which included a layover. He passed the time by waving at fellow passengers, playing with his toys, napping, and staring out the window at the clouds as we floated atop of them.

Sky in the Sky

I don’t think he wanted to come back home.
