I just got back home from a ten day vacation in Florida which marked the first trip my little family has taken together. We knew from the moment Skyler slept through the whole plane ride there that it was going to be a great holiday. Not bad for his first flight ever!
One of the first things we did when we arrived was hit the beach. I’m not much of a beach bum but I do enjoy the open air, warm breeze and sound of the ocean. Very few things equal the tranquility that runs through my entire being when in that setting. I made sure to take some long deep breaths and really be in the moment. We all caked on sunscreen and avoided any sunburns so that was good!
We spent three days at Universal Studios & Islands of Adventure which was an absolute blast! Skyler was so wide-eyed the entire time. He got to meet some characters that I’m sure he will soon grow to love. The look on his face will be priceless when we show him these pictures in a couple of years and tell him that he actually met Sponge Bob, Curious George and Woody Wood Pecker when he was a baby!
We walked a lot, ate too much and laughed uncontrollably during the week and a half we were away so, as you can imagine, we were completely zonked by nightfall. The way every day ended is pretty much summed up in this moment captured by my wife Chelsea.
While I was soaking up the sun and goofing around with cartoon characters, Doctor, Please reached a milestone of 100,000 hits on YouTube! The music video is currently in pre-production and I’m hoping to shoot in May. Also, a very talented Danish artist sent me this portrait she did of me using an old photo from the Euphoria’s Depression days.

As much as I enjoyed a break from the world, I’m glad to be back home working on what I love. Later this week, the physical version of It’s Not An Excuse, It’s A Reason which includes the documentary film Walking Proof, is being pressed so I can finally mail out the pre-order packages and begin planning a tour. Even if you crowd-funded the record before there was even talk of a documentary, I’ve decided to send you the film for free as a thank you for your belief, support and patience over the last year and a half. I cannot thank you enough but hopefully this will show a small sign of my gratitude.
